TenderCuts, born in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, serves to reintroduce compassion, connection and care to create awareness about what defines homelessness. Tendercuts provides haircuts and barber services that bring back the humanness that was lost for many of those living on the streets. We are currently cutting every Saturday in the skid row area of Los Angeles. Right now each and every dollar donated has been to keep our unhoused friends warm. Tons on hygiene needs have been met along with sleeping bags, tarps, blankets, beanies, socks and underwear to name a few. Each donation will allow us to directly assist the immediate needs of those we cut that are unhoused as well as maintain the necessary equipment for each service provided.

Born in the Tenderloin of San Francisco, TenderCuts shows us that a little compassion, love and trust can go along way. Raquel Fajardo, founder of TenderCuts was a full time barber when she decided to dedicate one day a week to providing quality haircuts and barber services to people directly in her neighborhood. Raquel is dedicated to empowering, uplifting and restoring dignity with "tender cuts" for those experiencing hardship.  We are proud to stand with and advocate for our community, connecting directly to those near and far. We've created a small, safe place where people can sit down and be treated like a human. It is a place to be heard and connect one and one.

Since February 2016 TenderCuts has been completely self funded. In order to grow and continue with our mission we could really utilize your help. All donations go directly to the needs of the neighbors we service as well as tools and equipment dedicated to doing so in a clean and efficiently manner.

Our most recent project is getting mobilized! Our goal is to have a vehicle that our barbers can work out of. Allowing us to bring a full experience to these individuals we serve.  We envision this vehicle to simply pull up to any area and make magic happen on the spot.  Having a 'Tender Truck' would give us a larger reach and accessiblity to work anywhere!
